How copy trading works
- You pick a wallet: a leaderboard trader, a caller, or a wallet that was early on past runners.
- A bot watches it on chain and, when it buys, buys the same coin for you (a fixed size or a share of its size).
- When the wallet sells, the bot sells, or you sell by your own rules.
Where blind copying breaks
- You are always later. The copy lands after the wallet's buy has moved the price. On a thin coin that can be 10–30% worse, and the wallet's exit lands before yours.
- Bait wallets. Some wallets build a record so they will be copied, then buy a coin they hold through other wallets and sell into the copiers.
- Size mismatch. A whale's small test buy becomes your full position.
- The record lies. A wallet's profit can be open profit on coins nobody can sell. Realized profit and sellable value are the numbers that matter.

Does copy trading work on Solana?
It can, but blind copying is late by design and some wallets bait copiers. Following wallets with alerts and deciding each buy yourself avoids the worst of it.
