How to check a Solana token
- Paste the contract address into the token checker or BLIX's search.
- Read the authorities: freeze and mint should both say revoked.
- Read the liquidity: a pool with real SOL in it, not a few dollars.
- Read the holders: the dev, bundles and the top 10. A coin you can sell can still be sold into.
Are pump.fun coins honeypots?
Not by design: pump.fun creates every coin with mint and freeze authority revoked and its own curve as the market, so a pump.fun coin can be sold while the curve or its pool has liquidity. Rugs there happen by selling, not freezing. Freeze-authority honeypots are tokens created outside launchpads; check those twice.
The rug check
Every coin carries a safety read that answers "is this a rug?" in one number, with the reasons under it: mint and freeze authority, whether liquidity is locked or pulled, the dev's past launches (serial launchers are flagged), bundle and sniper share, top-holder concentration and whether the dev sold. A bubble map draws the wallets that are linked by funding so a coin held by one person through twenty wallets looks like it. A coin can pass the rug check and still go to zero: the check is about the setup, not the chart.
