1. What to buy, and what to skip
- Skip anything with bundles or snipers above about 20% of supply, a dev holding a big share or selling, or a dev who launched ten coins this week.
- Prefer coins with a story people are talking about (a narrative that is gaining), wallets with a record buying, and holders growing rather than concentrating.
- Be early or be right. Either buy before the attention (Pulse, narratives, smart wallets) or wait for a coin to prove it can hold a level after its first run. Buying the candle everyone saw is neither.
2. Size
Pick a fixed slice of your trading balance per buy, small enough that ten losses in a row are survivable, because they will happen. Bigger size goes to cleaner setups, never to coins you are excited about.
3. Taking profit
A common rule: when a coin doubles, sell half, so what is left is free. From there, sell in steps as it runs (at 3x, 5x, 10x), or trail a stop under the price. A take profit set at the moment you buy is the one you will actually take.
4. Being wrong
Decide where the trade is wrong before you buy: a price, or an event (the dev sells, a bundle dumps, the smart wallets leave). Memecoins do not come back often enough to justify holding a coin that broke its reason.
5. Keep the record
Write down every trade: why you bought, where you sold, what you would change. After fifty trades you know which of your setups actually work. BLIX keeps the record for you, with entries, exits and profit per trade, in paper mode and live.
Test the strategy at real prices
Paper mode fills every buy and sell at the price a real swap would get right now, takes trading costs off each side, and runs the same take profit, stop loss and trailing stop. Flip to live when you are ready; the screens are the same.
Paper mode runs the same take profit, stop loss and trailing stop as live trading, and BLIX's waiting orders (limit buys, take profit and stop loss) work in both.
Signals to build entries on
The signals feed raises dump warnings, dev sells, market-cap milestones, buys by the wallets BLIX follows (smart money and leaderboard traders), AI buy calls, picks and new narratives, each with the coin's live numbers and a record of how that type of signal has done. It is in the app the moment you sign in, and the Discord carries the day's big ones.
Narratives: the stories coins ride
Memecoins move in themes. BLIX groups coins by the story they ride and tracks which stories are gaining. The Today desk writes up the day's narratives and runners: Blix AI researches each one on X and the web and explains what the thing is, what happened, how it is trading, which coins play which role, the case for and against, and what to watch, with live numbers beside it.
The BLIX community
Every account comes with the BLIX Discord: the people trading on the terminal, the narratives as they form, feature drops before they are announced, and the team answering questions. Join the Discord once you have signed up.
Memecoin basics
Memecoins are extremely risky and most go to zero. Nothing on this page is financial advice.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best meme coin trading strategy?
There is no best one, but the ones that last share four rules: skip bad setups, size small and fixed, take your cost out early, and decide where you are wrong before buying.
When should I sell a meme coin?
Take your cost out when it doubles, then sell the rest in steps or trail a stop. Sell everything when the reason you bought breaks: the dev sells, a bundle dumps, the narrative dies.
How do I practise meme coin trading without losing money?
Paper trading. BLIX's paper mode fills at the price a real swap would get right now, with costs, so the results mean something.
Should I use a stop loss on meme coins?
Yes, or at least a decided exit. On thin coins a stop fills worse than its price, so size so that a bad fill is survivable.
