Slippage, priority fees and MEV protection for memecoins

Most failed memecoin buys are not bad luck, they are settings. Slippage decides how far the price may move before your trade is refused; the priority fee and tip decide where your transaction sits in the block; MEV protection decides whether a bot can see it and trade around it first. Here is what each does and what to use for a launch, a busy coin and a quiet one.

Slippage

Slippage is the worst price you accept compared with the quote. On a bonding-curve coin the price can move several percent between your click and the block, so tight slippage means failed buys while the price runs. Wide slippage means a bad fill on a spike. The answer is to set it per situation, not once.

Priority fees and tips

Solana orders transactions in a block partly by the priority fee. When a coin is busy, everyone is paying more; matching what recent trades on the same coin paid is how a buy lands in the next block instead of three blocks later. A tip goes to the block builder on staked connections and, above a threshold, through Jito.

MEV protection

A sandwich bot sees a buy in the public mempool, buys before it and sells right after, pushing your fill to the edge of your slippage. Sending through Jito keeps the transaction private until it lands. BLIX's MEV toggle does this per preset.

Trade in one click, with real SOL

Sign in with Google and BLIX makes you a Solana wallet. Deposit SOL, set your size once, and buy from any list or chart in one click: the swap is routed through Jupiter with a priority fee set per trade so it lands fast. Sell all or part of a position just as fast. The fee is 2% a trade, 1.6% if you joined through an invite, and you can export your private key or withdraw at any time.

Memecoins are extremely risky and most go to zero. Nothing on this page is financial advice.

Frequently asked questions

What slippage should I use for meme coins?

Around 20–25% for curve coins and launches, 10% for quiet coins in a pool. Tighter settings fail; wider ones risk bad fills on spikes.

Why does my Solana transaction keep failing?

Usually slippage too tight for a moving price, or a priority fee too low for how busy the coin is. Raise slippage for curve coins and match recent priority fees.

What is MEV protection on Solana?

Sending a transaction privately through Jito so sandwich bots cannot see it and trade around it before it lands.

How much priority fee should I pay?

What the coin's recent trades are paying. BLIX's Normal preset reads it automatically; launches use a fixed high fee.
